Cortland Best Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Cortland Best (Corner Brook, Newfoundland), who passed away on February 27, 2026 at the age of 77. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Cortland Best and Agnes Best; his siblings, Raymond, Kenneth (Hooker) and Marjorie; his grandchildren, Candice and Anthony; his nephew Pat; and his niece Kim.

He is survived by: his wife Gloria Best; his children, Triffy, Todd (Denise), Teena (Barry) and Denise (Dorman); his grandchildren, Miranda, Madonna (Charlie), Arlene (Dayna) of Kyle, DJ, Shane (Tara), Draper (Renata), Dillon (Jessica) and Nick (Pupun); and his siblings, Randy (Melissa), Carol, Drue (Watson), Claudine (Pat) and Sharon (Perry). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, extended family, and many dear friends.

As expressions of sympathy, donations in Shont's memory may be made to the charity of one's choice.
