She was predeceased by: her parents, Gordon Canning and Dulcie Canning; and her siblings, Eli Canning, Ethel Canning, Goldie Etsell and Joyce Spurrell.

She is survived by: her husband Henry Mews; her children, Donald Mews (Kate), Annie Simmonds (Adrian), Oral Mews and Angie Batstone (Peter); her grandchildren, Jennifer, Amanda, Liam, Callum, Jeffrey, Samantha, Adam and Jordan; her great grandchildren, Nick, Joshua, Megan, Colby and Sawyer; her siblings, Edward Canning (Daphne), Lavina Day (Otto) and Geralda Canning; her brother-in-law David Etsell; and her niece Tonya Freake. She is also survived by other nieces, nephews, extended relatives, and many friends.
