We are sad to announce that on October 9, 2025, at the age of 92, Eric Joseph Michael Fitzgerald (Corner Brook, Newfoundland) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Eric may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Fillatre's Funeral Home (4 St Marks Ave, Corner Brook, NL A2H 7H7). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Fillatre's Chapel (4 St Marks Ave, Corner Brook, NL A2H 7H7). A reception will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the Royal Canadian Legion (7 West St, Corner Brook, NL A2H2Y6).
In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes donations in Eric's memory to the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 13, the Palliative Care Unit of Western Memorial Regional Hospital, or a charity of one's choice.
