It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Geneva Theresa Hackett (Corner Brook, Newfoundland), who passed away on November 13, 2025, at the age of 67, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Benedict Hackett and Cedella Hackett (Crocker). She is survived by: her sons, Rodney Hackett (Alison), Grant Hackett and Charles Hackett; her grandson River Hackett; her siblings, Ramona Casselman of Niagara Falls, ON, Helen Arseneau (Don) of Bathurst, NB, Jacqueline Hackett (Frank) of Niagara Falls, ON, Brenda Andrews of Beeton, ON, Benny Hackett of Uxbridge, ON, Maureen Hunt (Warrick), Glenn Hackett (Brenda) of Uxbridge, ON, Stacy Hackett of Beeton, ON and Louise House of Yarmouth, NS; her pets, Puss Puss, Copper and Gambit; and her friend Philomena Hackett.
Visitation was held on Sunday, November 16th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Fillatre's Funeral Home (218 Curling St, Corner Brook, NL A2H3J4). A funeral Mass was held on Monday, November 17th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Our Lady. A burial was held on Monday, November 17th 2025 at the Catholic Church Cemetery (11 Montgomerie St, Corner Brook, NL A2H2P8).
In lieu of flowers Geneva had requested memorial donations to NL Breast Cancer society, Our Lady Star of the Sea or Benoit's Cove South Shore Volunteer Fire department.
