He was predeceased by: his wife Rowella; his parents, John Layden and Annie Layden; and his siblings, Mabel Critch (Lease), George Layden (Mary), Hazel Beals (Ron), Irene Anderson (Carl), Clifford Layden, Marion Tucker (Alpheaus), John Layden and Elizabeth Wheeler (Thomas).
He is survived by: his children, Joy Burt (Gary), Paul Layden (Karen), Keith Layden (Elaine) and Sherri Enns (David); and his sisters-in-law, Betty Layden and Charlotte Layden. He is also survived by his 8 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren, nephews, nieces, other relatives, and many good friends.
No flowers by request. In Granville's honour, memorial donations can be made to First Pentecostal Church (FPC) on Premier Drive, Corner Brook.
