He was predeceased by: his parents, Stephen and Florence; his sisters, Marie (Murray McNutt), Margaret (Gerry Lee), Kathleen (Jim Connolly) and Imelda; his former wife Judy; and his son Gregory Jason Staples.
He is survived by: his wife Shirley; his close friend Cristine Gilbert; his children, Jackie (Jack Pipia), Patrick, Brian (Mona Staples) and Allan; his grandchildren, Nancy, Mackenzie, Isaiah, Ashley, Brooklyn, Makenna, Cooper and Charlie; and his siblings, Marion (Laurie Nugent), Joan (Randy Wells) and John (Maxine).
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a donation to the Kidney Foundation, a cause close to his heart.
