It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Guy Raymond Roland Reid (Corner Brook, Newfoundland), born in Roddickton, Newfoundland, who passed away on January 2, 2026, at the age of 62, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parent Roland Reid; his siblings, Betty, Patsy and Roger Reid; and his mother-in-law Ellen Pottle.
He is survived by: his wife Joanne; his children, Nicole, Stephanie (Gerard), Gregory and Justin (Melissa); his grandsons, Jake and Lucas; his father-in-law Gordon Pottle; his siblings, Glenda (Frank), Jackie (Mike), Lisa, Gaye (Chum), Hilda (Albert), Rick (Patti), Winston (Betty) and Dean; his sisters-in-law, Kim (Tim), Deneka (Frank), Tracey (Dave) and Tammy; Selma Ruby Reid. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many, many friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 9th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Country Haven Funeral Home (167 Country Rd, Corner Brook, NL A2H4M5). A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 10th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the First Pentecostal Church (58 Premier Dr, Corner Brook, NL A2H6E6). A graveside service was held on Saturday, January 10th 2026 from 3:30 PM to 4:00 PM at the Mount Patricia Cemetery North Shore (42 N Shore Hwy, Corner Brook, NL A2H6G1).
