He was predeceased by: his parents, Maxwell Melendy and Irene Melendy; his parents-in-law, Esau and Violet Warren; his brother Clyde; his sister-in-law Goldie Melendy; his nephew Barry Melendy; and his close friend Bud Corbin.
He is survived by: his children, Tony (Denise), Joanne (Rob Flynn) and Todd; his grandchildren, Jennifer (Chris Lake), Justin (Courtney Fisher), Tonya and Christina (Evan Fisher); his stepgrandchildren, James (Michelle), Andrew (Becca), Michael (Maren), Emily (Julia) and Angelina; his stepgreat-grandchildren, Bowen, Joshua, Kylea and Ryan; his siblings, Eva (Bernard Mills), Gordon Melendy and Joan (Herbert MacDonald); his brother-in-law Wallace Warren (Juanita); and his caregivers, Jordan, Wavey and Stephen. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
