It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Helen Goodyear of Corner Brook, Newfoundland, who passed away on February 13, 2021, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her husband Colin Goodyear (Mac); her parents, Arthur Goodyear and Janette Goodyear; her parents-in-law, Stephen and Lillian George; her sons-in-law, Barry Roberts and Wally Fost; her sister Jean; and her brothers-in-law, Harold Whiteway, Allister Rowsell and George Butt.

She is survived by : her children, Colin Goodyear, Carol Fost, Elaine Simmons (Gerry), Lorna Baker (Robert) and Lana Payne (Chris); her grandchildren, Stephen Roberts (Kerri), Michael Roberts (Alison), Krista Simmons (Michael Pittman), Nicholas Baker, Robyn Baker (Curtis), Scott Payne (Isabelle) and Matthew Payne (Kristen); her great grandchildren, Mackenize Roberts and Jack Pittman; and her sisters, Marjorie Rowsell and Lorraine Butt.

A burial was held on Tuesday, February 16th 2021 at 19, a private. Due to the Government NL Health Restrictions of Covid 19, a private family interment will take place from Mount Patricia on Tuesday, Feb 16, 2021, with Major Frank Johnson officiating.

The family extends a thank you to the staff at the Corner Brook Long Term Care for the wonderful care and compassion Helen received as a resident, As expressions of sympathy, there are no flowers by request, in lieu of flowers memorial donations in memory of Helen can be made to a charity of one's choice.
