He was predeceased by: his parents, John and Cedella; his brother Donald; and his parents-in-law, Stan and Edith Dawe.

He is survived by: his wife Shirley; his sons, Brian (Cathy) and David (Laurie); his grandson Michael (Haley); his brothers, Rhody (Lillian), Roy (Barb) and Jerry (Isabel); his siblings-in-law, Mary (late Earl), Gerald (Myrtle), Harold (Iris), Dave (Karen) and Don; and his friends, Bud, Pat Goulding, Rev. Kris, Pam, Alex, Erica Gosse, Rev. Jocelyn Cooke and Dr. Tim Griffin. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.

Visitation was held on Monday, September 7th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Fillatre Funeral Home & Chapel - St. Marks Ave (4 St Marks Ave, Corner Brook, NL A2H6N1). A celebration of life was held on Tuesday, September 8th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. The inurnment was held on Tuesday, September 8th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the same location.

As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Local Food Bank or Corner Brook United Church.
