She was predeceased by: her husband Carl Mercer; her parents, Grace Burton (Fisher) and Walter Burton; her parents-in-law, Classie Mercer (Lawrence) and Richard Mercer; her sister Mary Dunphy; her brother-in-law Alex Dunphy; her niece Jeannine Dunphy; her brother John Burton; and her brothers-in-law, Melvin Smith and Richard Mercer.

She is survived by: her son Stephen Mercer (Barbara-Ann); her grandchildren, Stephen Bishop and Shelley Bishop (Brandon); her great grandchildren, Bailey Patey, James Patey and Raven Bishop; her sister-in-law Sylvia Smith; her nephew Rick Smith (Marie); and her friends, Ruth Klevorick, Clyde King, Munden Ivany and Joan Bartlett.
