He was predeceased by: his former wife Mildred Higgins; his parents, Gertrude Higgins and William Arthur Higgins; his sisters, Doris Gushue (Peter), Mary Higgins, Julie Gushue (Jim) and Freda Warren (Bill); and his stepdaughter-in-law Lillian Spurrell.
He is survived by: his wife Melita; his son Bob Higgins; his daughter-in-law Lois Higgins; his stepchildren, Tony Spurrell (Daphne), Sterling Spurrell, Randy Spurrell (Susan), Roy Spurrell (Lily), Karen Allen (Glenn) and Lisa Russell (Max); and his siblings, Billy Higgins (Violet), Albert Higgins (Dorothy) and Violet Stoyles (Max). He is also survived by step-grandchildren, step-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
