She was predeceased by: her husband Alvin Major; her parents, Grace Oxford and Raymond Oxford; her siblings, Sadie Kotai, Rose Temple, Dorothy Arenburg and John Oxford; and her parents-in-law, Eli and Emma Major.
She is survived by: her children, Bradley Major, Janis Major and Maria Major; her granddaughter Harmony; her brothers, Raymond Oxford and Mike Oxford; and her brothers-in-law, Joe Kotai, Bruce Temple and Randall Arenburg.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, February 4th 2026 from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM at the Fillatre's Funeral Home (4 St Marks Ave, Corner Brook, NL A2H 7H7). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, February 4th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Fillatre's Funeral Chapel (4 St Marks Ave, Corner Brook, NL A2H 7H7).
In Lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to the Huntington Society of Canada in Joyce's name.
