He was predeceased by: his parents, Vera Samson and Chesley Samson; and his brother Vince. He is survived by: his wife Dawn; his children, Paul of Ottawa, Roger (Karen Bulmer) of Middle Cove and Andrea of Dunedin; his grandchildren, Marley Samson (Ottawa), Daniel Blakeley, Gemma Blakeley (Dunedin) and Luke Samson (Middle Cove); his stepchildren, Lisa Piercey, Jennifer Fraser and Lloyd Piercey; his grandchildren, Susannah Piercey, Samantha Piercey, April Piercey and Charlotte Piercey; his sister Jane Dillon; Dakota Piercey, Lucas Lowe, Elliott O'Dell and Anna O'Dell.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, November 8th 2026 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Country Haven Funeral Home (167 Country Rd, Corner Brook, NL A2H 4M5).
