It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Martha S. Skeard of Corner Brook, Newfoundland, who passed away on March 26, 2024, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Jack Peddle and Elizabeth Peddle; her husband Maxwell Skeard; her siblings, Ben (Shirley), Richard (Sophie), Hubert (Kay), Pierce (Theresa), Colin (Lizzie), Carrie (Bob), Charlotte (Wallace) and Whitfield (Barb); and her nephew Joe Peddle.

She is survived by : her children, Stan (Kathy), Derek (Deneen), David and Wilma (Bernie); her grandchildren, Lea, Andrew, Crystal, Jacob and Joshua; her great grandchildren, Joseph, Gavin, Austin, Lincoln and Malcolm; and her nephew Bruce Peddle (Jean). She is also survived by other relatives, and many friends.

A funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 2nd 2024 from 1:00 PM to 1:45 PM at the Country Haven Chapel (167 Country Rd, Corner Brook, NL A2H4M5). A burial will be held on Monday, June 3rd 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Mount Patricia Cemetery.

As expressions of sympathy, no flowers by request, instead a donation can be made in Martha's memory to a charity of one's choice.
