We announce the death of Michael W. Anderson (Corner Brook, Newfoundland), who passed away on September 23, 2026, at the age of 77. Michael will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his wife Alice; his parents, Doug Anderson and Margaret Anderson; his parents-in-law, Lou and Bessie White; his sister Fran Anderson; his sister-in-law Joyce White; and his brother Doug Anderson.
He is survived by: his children, Martina (Blair Tucker), Michelle (Trevor Rendell) and Michael (Jillian Fillier); his grandchildren, Roisin, Elizabeth, Chloe, Katelyn, Heather and Charlie; his great grandchildren, Jack, Lucy and Sarah; his sister Valerie Anderson; his siblings-in-law, Martina O'Neill (Ed) and Albert White; Brady. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and a wide circle of friends.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 27th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:45 PM at the Fillatre Funeral Home & Chapel - St. Marks Ave (4 St Marks Ave, Corner Brook, NL A2H6N1). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, September 27th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the same location.
Flowers are gratefully accepted, or memorial donations may be made to the Bay of Islands SPCA or the St. Vincent de Paul Society.
