He was predeceased by: his daughter Mary (Roger); his parents, Mary Newman and James Newman; his stepfather Fred Bernard; his parents-in-law, Dan Green, Violet Green and Catherine Park; his brothers, Frank Newman (Marie) and Freddy Newman; his siblings-in-law, George Green, Dom Green (Barb), Rita Connolly, Delores Green, Mary Jones (Kevin) and Flossy Newman; and his niece Marilyn Ann Newman.
He is survived by: his wife Frances; his children, Jim (Fronie), Paul (Lucy), Sandra (Bob) and Vicki (Paul); his grandchildren, Paula (Chris), Alisha (Mike), Amanda, Michael, Natasha (Jarrod), Nikki, Kyle (Kylie), Jesse, Jenny, Nicole (Sean), Melanie (Barry), Robbie, Steven (Katelyn) and Ronnie Boone; his siblings, Felix (Shirley), Marie, Theresa (Dave) and Maureen; his siblings-in-law, Ron Greene (late Bride), Joe Connolly, Eileen Companion (Park), Mercedes Christopher (late Steve) and Genevieve Green; and his close friends, Garland Greene and Clara Gillingham.
