She was predeceased by: her significant other John Brake; her parents, Richard Hounsell and Violet Hounsell; and her brother Paul (Jean). She is survived by: her children, Stephen Shears and Susan Shears (Nathan); her siblings, Duke (Lynda) and Patricia (Ernest); her children-in-law, Janet Pardy (David), Cindy Targett (Rod), Lisa Reid (Ken) and John (Linda); her granddaughters, Madison and Jazz; and her niece Paula.
As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers the family requests that donations may be made to the Children's Wish Foundation of Canada.
