He was predeceased by: his parents, Matthias Flynn and Elizabeth Lainey Flynn; his stepfather Gerard Flynn; and his sister-in-law Donna Lainey. He is survived by: his daughter Maria Chubb (Thomas); his siblings, Beverley Eveleigh (Eldon), Deborah Sweezie (Harvie), Fidelis, Wade (Gwen), Chad (Belinda) and Wendell (Julie); his former wife Emily Gabriel (Clayton); and his stepsiblings, Leroy (Cathy), Roxanne Rowsell (Otto), Rhonda Coll (Steve), Lori Flynn-MacIsaac and Kim (Watson). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 9th 2026 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Russells Funeral Home (57 Prince Rupert Dr, Stephenville, NL A2N2Z5). A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 10th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the St. Stephen's Parish (78 West St, Stephenville, NL A2N1E4).
