He was predeceased by: his parents, Avtar S Gill and Gulwant K Gill (Sidhu); his siblings, Pritam S Gill and Pritam K Sangha; and his parents-in-law, Percy and Sadie McLean.

He is survived by: his wife Fanny (McLean); his sons, Dulah (Meghan) and Darah (Cassandra); his grandchildren, Jhoni, Kali, Maggie and Priya; and his sister Amarjit Brar. He is also survived by extended family and friends; and his in-laws.
