He was predeceased by: his parents, Andrew Hamilton and Ruth Hamilton; his in-laws, Robert and Shirley Kennedy; and his brothers-in-law, Kerry and Milton Kennedy.
He is survived by: his wife Sandra Hamilton; his son Matthew Hamilton (Samantha); his granddaughter Rori; his siblings, Cyril Hamilton, Tony Hamilton (Melanie), Madonna Cave, Paula Brake (Bill), Laura Hamilton, Kevin Hamilton (Amy) and Andrea Keeping (Wayne); and his sisters-in-law, Sheila Green (Garland), Wanda Walsh (Keith), Jackie Hampton (David), Kim Andrews (Terry) and Cindy Hepditch (Aidan). He is also survived by nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles, cousins and friends.
