He was predeceased by: his children, Donald Johnson (Eileen), Kimberly Johnson (Terry), Derek Johnson (Diane) and Darryl Johnson (Jane); his parents, Charlie Johnson and Alice Johnson; his sister Joan Johnson; his parents-in-law, Harrison and Annie Bursey; and his siblings-in-law, Wayne Bursey, Mavis Bursey, Stella Mollon, Bernice Woodrow, Valda Young and Lorraine Drover.

He is survived by: his wife Glenda Johnson; his grandchildren, Annette Bennett (Scott), Tara Borwick (Jason), Jason Johnson (Jennifer), Jessica Johnson, Matthew, Mark Johnson and Kristin Brannen (Skyler); his great grandchildren, Rebecca Bennett, Vanessa Bennett, Sydney Borwick, Isabel Borwick, Jaelyn Johnson, Julia Johnson and Alivia Brannen; his siblings, Mabel Bernard (Harold), Charlie Johnson (Pauline) and Phyllis Young; and his siblings-in-law, Milton Bursey (Marlene), Donald Bursey (Myrtle), Joyce Earle, Joan Mitchell and Louise Bursey. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to the Children's Wish Foundation or Curling Memorial United Church.
