He was predeceased by: his parents, Joel and Jean Wheeler; and his close friends, Stan Woods and Phonse. He is survived by: his wife Sharon; his daughters, Crystal Dawe (Dave) and Nicole Stagg (Jason); his grandsons, Riley, Lukas Dawe and Parker Stagg; his siblings, Gloria George (Pat), Glen Wheeler (Valda) and Wayne Wheeler (Vicki); and his close friends, Mary Lou, Gord LeRoy (Brian (Nikki), Nathan (Emily), Christopher (Ashley), Shirley Noseworthy, Mary Louise and Pat Cashin.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, May 13th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 14th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the St. Mary the Virgin Anglican Church (456 Curling St, Corner Brook, NL A2H3K6).
