He was predeceased by: his parents, David Gallant and Betty Gallant; his parents-in-law, Michael and Sarah Carew; his nephew Phillip Gallant; and his close friend Len Lee.
He is survived by: his greatest love Gertrude "Trudy" Gallant; his daughter Jennifer Hynes; his granddaughter Jessica; his great grandchild Richard; and his siblings, Mae Prosper (Hayward), Todd Gallant (Noella), Rosanna Peddle (Roy), Christine Roche and Eva Cramm. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.
