Sarah Edith Madore Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Sarah Edith Madore (Corner Brook, Newfoundland), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 1, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Churchill Madore; her parents, Edward Richard and Eva Alice Shears; and her siblings, Clara Gillam, Eva Madore, Edward Shears, Melvin Shears and Simon Shears.
She is survived by: her sons, Sheldon Madore (Cheryl) and Corwyn Madore (Sally); her grandchildren, Kayla Ann Madore (Andrew), James Churchill Madore (Laura) and Chase Churchill Madore; her great grandchild Kason Madore; and her siblings, Robert Shears, Gerald Shears, Una McEachren and Cavell McEachren. She is also survived by many other nieces, nephews, family and friends.
A funeral service was held on Monday, January 19th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the St. Michaels and All Angels Anglican Church. A burial was held on Monday, January 19th 2026 from 3:15 PM to 3:30 PM at the Jeffery's Anglican Cemetery.
Interment will follow at the Anglican cemetery, Jeffery's. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the Janeway Children's Hospital Foundation.
