He was predeceased by: his parents, Isaac and Meritta; his brothers, Max (Mary) and Rolland; his parents-in-law, Thomas and Ruth Hunt; and his sisters-in-law, Lena Wells and Amanda George.

He is survived by: his wife Caroline "Bun"; his son Joe (JoAnn); his granddaughters, Ashley and Aimee Blomqvist (David); his siblings, Ada Barrett (John) and Randy (Sharon); his sisters-in-law, Patrica McDonald, Irene Joyce and Eileen Sheppard; and his aunt Brenda Halfyard (Stan). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
