He was predeceased by: his parents, Michael and Theresa (Harnett); his brother Terry; his friend Phonse Slaney; and his brother-in-law Bob Robson.
He is survived by: his daughters, Julie (Devin Mahaney) and Angela (Laura K.); his grandchildren, Kai and Reya; his siblings, Chris (Noella), Richard, Carl (Patricia), Ken, Beth Robson, Sarah, Jean, Ellen (Paul Thistle), Lynette (George Tobin), Ann-Marie (Richard) and Michelle (Howard Power); his aunt Helen Slaney; and his godmother Helen Slaney.
