He was predeceased by: his wife Thelma Rose; his parents, Emily Rose and Reginald Rose; his siblings, William Rose and Mabel Scott; and his sister-in-law Roberta Rose.
He is survived by: his daughters, Erin Rose (Gerard) of Marystown and Vivian Rose of Marystown; his grandchildren, Haley (Josh), Taylor, Carter, Blake and Sophie; his siblings, Melita Goods of Grand Falls, Florence Roberts (Junior) of Bay d'Espoir, Doug Rose (Gloria) of Hermitage, Arch Rose of Hermitage and Gordon Rose (Helen); his siblings-in-law, Doris Rose of Fortune and Riley Scott of Grand Bank; and his close friends, Charlie Hodder (Marg) of Creston South and George Senior (Shirley) of Creston South.
Visitation was held on Saturday, January 31st 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM, on Sunday, February 1st 2026 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Peninsula Funeral Home (4 Markland Rd, Creston, NL A0E1K0). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, February 3rd 2026 at 2:00 PM at the St. Michael and All Angels Anglican Church (19 Barter Pl, Creston North, NL A0E1K0). A burial was held on Tuesday, February 3rd 2026 at 3:00 PM at the St. Michael's Anglican Cemetery (19 Barter Pl, Creston North, NL A0E1K0).
