It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Francis Drake (Creston, Newfoundland), who passed away on September 26, 2025, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Francis Drake to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his wife Pearl Drake; his parents, Mary Ann Drake and David Drake; and his siblings, George Drake, Eliza Fitzpatrick and Lillian Edwards.
He is survived by: his children, Fenton Harnett (Mary) of Alberta, Roxanne Gibbons (David) of St. Lawrence, Kim Drake (Greg) of St. Lawrence and David Drake (Jackie) of Ontario; his grandchildren, Ian, Drew, Jamie, Tyler, Kyla, Shy-Ann, Sha-Lynn, Maddison, Dominic, Skyler, Scarlette, David Jr. and Damion; his great grandchild Lyla Pearl; his siblings, Jack Drake, Esther Calabrese (Pat), Maryanne Drake, Betty Lou Doyle and Marg Edwards; and his close friend Lena Stacey (Line).
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 2nd 2025 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the St. Thomas Aquinas Church (23 Water St E, Saint Lawrence, NL A0E2V0). A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, October 3rd 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location. The inurnment will be held on Friday, October 3rd 2025 at 11:30 AM at the Mount Cecelia R. C. Cemetery.
In Francis' memory in-lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Drake Family.
