He was predeceased by: his parents, Allan Slaney and Moira Slaney; and his siblings, BJ Slaney (Cathy), Loretta Villeneuve and Millie Slaney.
He is survived by: his siblings, Ray Slaney (Olive) of Buckhorn, ON, Alonzo Slaney (Elaine) of Lethbridge, AB, Reginald Slaney of St. Lawrence, Adele Leonard (Jack) of St. John's, Margaret Byrne of St. Lawrence, Philomena Hughes (Trevor) of Flat Rock and Beth Edwards (Glen) of Prince Rupert, BC; and his sister-in-law Betty Slaney of Edmonton, AB.
