She was predeceased by : her husband Michael Slaney; her great grandchild Shyla Slaney; her parents, Felix Lockyer and Caroline Lockyer; and her sister Sylvia Slaney (Peter).

She is survived by : her sons, Aloysius Slaney (Darlene) of Grand Falls, Windsor, Wade Slaney (Tracey) of St. Lawrence, Corey Slaney of Churchill Falls, Scott Slaney (Tammy) of St. Lawrence, Brad Slaney (Alexandria) of Paradise and Chris Slaney (Jennifer) of St. Lawrence; her sister Rosella King of Point; her brother-in-law John Slaney (TJ) of St. Lawrence; and her close friend Vera Edwards of St. Lawrence.

A Mass of Christian burial was held on Thursday, April 11th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the St. Thomas Aquinas Roman Catholic Church (23 Water St E, Saint Lawrence, NL A0E2V0).

In Louise's memory, in-lieu of flowers donations may be made to The Burin Peninsula Health Care Foundation.
