He was predeceased by: his parents, Alexander Slaney and Beatrice Slaney; his father-in-law Keith Walsh Sr.; and his brother-in-law Keith Walsh Jr. The Slaney. He is survived by: his wife Amanda; his children, Lorna Pittman (Marc) of St. Lawrence, Dale Slaney (Marguerite) of Fort McMurray, AB and Deanne Beck (Tyler) of Fort McMurray, AB; his grandchildren, Emily Pittman, Anna Pittman, Logan Beck, Brooklyn Slaney, Livia Beck and Brianna Slaney; his siblings, Mike Slaney (Michelle) of St. Lawrence and Connie Clarke (Larry) of St. Lawrence; his mother-in-law Annie Walsh of St. Lawrence; and his siblings-in-law, Corey Walsh (Sarah) of Red Deer, Kanta Walsh (Mario) of St. Lawrence and Leon Walsh (Kristy) of Marystown.
Visitation was held on Saturday, February 21st 2026 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM, on Sunday, February 22nd 2026 from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the St. Thomas Aquinas Church (23 Water St E, Saint Lawrence, NL A0E2V0). A vigil service was held on Sunday, February 22nd 2026 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass was held on Monday, February 23rd 2026 at 10:30 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, February 23rd 2026 at 11:30 AM at the Mount Cecilia R. C. Cemetery.
