It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Vera Stokes of Deadmans Bay, Newfoundland, who passed away on August 15, 2023, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ephriam Stokes and Sarah Stokes (James Stokes); her grandchildren, Melissa, Roger and Corey; and her siblings, Peter, Herbert, Cecil, Martha, Carrie, Melissa, Eliza and Daisy.
She is survived by: her children, Wayne of St. John's, Wilson (Melynda) of St. John's, Danny (Cathy) of Clarkes Beach, Patti Stokes (Marc Desbiens) of Kanada, Velma (Roland Parsons) of Deadman's Bay and Elaine (Mickie Handregan) of Maddox Cove; her grandchildren, Christina Penny, Jamie Stokes, Jessica, Bianca Stokes, Natasha Desbiens, Wilson and Cindy Stokes; and her stepgrandchildren, Maria Tremblett and Gord Jordon. She is also survived by five great grandchildren and a large circle of other relatives and friends.
As an expression of sympathy and in her memory, flowers are gratefully accepted or donations may be made to the Salvation Army Cemetery Fund.
