He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Elson and Ella Elson (Young); his parents-in-law, Ernest, Betty Dackers (Scott), Eldon and Pearl Goodyear (Chaulk); his daughters, Jackie Elson (Dackers) and Michelle; his grandchild Ryan; and his nephew Jeff Goodyear.
He is survived by: his siblings-in-law, Tony Hamilton, Leo Wall, George Goodyear, Baxter Goodyear, Sydney Goodyear, Newman Stokes, Harold West, Mary Goodyear, Phyllis Goodyear, Mabel Stokes, Blanche West, Celma Goodyear and Linda Goodyear; his daughter Denise Chaulk (Chris); his grandchildren, Melanie Budgell (Brad), Nicole Parsons (Cody), Abby Chaulk, Arrick Chaulk and Adam Elson; his great grandchildren, Jaime, Leah and Rebecca; his siblings, Deanna Hamilton and Jim Elson (Doranne); and his siblings-in-law, Harvey Goodyear, Winston Goodyear (Barbara), Carson Goodyear (Ruby), Newman Goodyear (Mildred), Leo Goodyear (Joan), Peter Dackers (Mae), Lorraine Mouland (Seaward), Shirley Goodyear, Lynn Wall and Rosalind Stokes (Wesley).
