He was predeceased by : his parents, Harry Squires and Fannie Squires; his siblings, Walter Squires, Hilda Janes, Myra Wellon and Beryl White; his parents-in-law, Clayton and Hazel Evans; his siblings-in-law, Freddy Kapelanski, Patricia Squires (Pat), William Janes (Bill), Beaton Wellon and Glesby White; and his nephews, Allan, Brian and Colin Janes.
He is survived by : his wife Joy Squires (Vanessa); his children, Karen Howson (Calvin), Brenda Bridger (Douglas), Evan Squires (Judy), Rhonda Pearson (Fred) and Stephanie Sceviour (Michael); his grandchildren, Kimberly Howson (Chad Quinn), Ian Bridger (Dawn), Daniel Bridger, Zachary Squires (Sarena), Vanessa Squires, Heide, Erin Pearson, Emily Sceviour (Landon Churchill), Sophia Sceviour (Hayden Martin) and Daniel Sceviour; his great grandchildren, Benjamin, Charlotte Bridger, Koston, Maverick Bridger and Bowie Squires; his sister Eva Kapelanski (Quebec); his nephews, Gordon Wellon (Ontario), Derek, Errol Janes, Alan and Steven Kapelanski; and his niece Debra Kapelanski. He is also survived by other extended family members and friends.
In lieu of flowers, family and friends may donate to the Janeway Children's Hospital or the Autism Society of Newfoundland and Labrador.
