With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Douglas Allen Percival Hiscock (Deer Lake, Newfoundland), born in Norris Point, Newfoundland, who passed away on September 15, 2025 at the age of 79. He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Hiscock and Lorne Hiscock; his parents-in-law, Henley and Agnes Legge; and his siblings-in-law, Bryant Shears, Gordon Burden, Robert Smith, Eleck Legge, Enos, Diane Legge, Nita, Darcy Foster, Doreen and Joe Clarke.
He is survived by: his wife Jean; his children, Sonya Hiscock (Ivan Small), Curt Hiscock (Iovana), Trina King (Shane), Stacey Pittman (Colin) and Danica Kalashnikov (Matt); his grandchildren, Dion Collier, Kaitlyn Collier (Strahinja Mitrivic), Ocean Renouf, Jillian Pinksen, Ethan Hiscock, Devin Hiscock, Kristen King (Kyle Saunders), Brandon Hiscock-Curtis, Blake Pittman, Brooklyn Pittman, Sophia Kalashnikov and Annabelle Kalashnikov; his great grandchildren, Dillon Renouf and Nathaniel Renouf; his siblings, Frances Shears, Gloria Burden, Ella Hiscock, Nina Welsh (George) and Lorne Hiscock (Mae); his siblings-in-law, Eric Legge (Joan) and Josie Foster; and his nephew Rick Burden.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 18th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Parsons Funeral Home North Main (63 Main St N, Deer Lake, NL A8A). A celebration of life was held on Friday, September 19th 2025 at 2:30 PM at the St. Paul's United Church (17 Spruce St, Deer Lake, NL A8A2C2).
