He was predeceased by: his parents, Evangeline Humber and George Humber; his siblings, Augustus Humber, Catherine Laing, Edna Maynard and Edith Humber; his parents-in-law, Anita and Roland Pittman; and his brothers-in-law, Melvin Pittman, Gordon Laing, Clarence Laing, Emmanuel Payne and Edward Payne.

He is survived by: his wife Ivy; his children, Robert Humber (Karen), Byron Humber (Tena Reid), Darren Humber (Linda), Darlene (Robert Maynard), Christine (Edmund Critch), Donna Humber (Corey Sinnicks) and Trina Humber; and his siblings, Margaret Laing, Thelma Payne, Leona Pittman Cluney, Gladys Payne and Tom Humber.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Alzheimer's Society in Hayward's memory would be gratefully appreciated by the family.
