He was loved and cherished by many people including: his daughters, Denise Rowe (Israel) and Brenda Carey Joe (Richard); his grandchildren, David Rowe (Rebekah), Jessica Rowe, Vanessa Carey (Stephen Griffin) and Stephanie Nippard (Anthony); his great grandchildren, Wesley, Charlie, Jack, Tori and Owen; his wife Anne Traverse (Connolly); his son Gerard Traverse; his parents, John Traverse and Mary Traverse (Hearn); and his brothers, Bernard Traverse (Lorraine), Aloyisus Traverse Helen Traverse (Anne) and Carmel Traverse Sharpe (Edward).
A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 10th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the Immaculate Conception Parish (21 Upper Nicholsville Rd, Deer Lake, NL A8A1Z3).
