He was predeceased by: his parents, Bill Sheppard and Mabel Sheppard. He is survived by: his wife Patricia Geraldine Gilley; his sons, Richard (Colleen) and Andrew (Allison); his grandchildren, Stephanie, Sullivan and Lena; his siblings, John (Pam), Tony (Sandra) and Carol Porter (Glynn); his sisters-in-law, Marilyn Sheppard and Julie Crane; his siblings, Catherine Miller, Duncan Sheppard (Bill), Warren Sheppard (Janet), Kenneth Sheppard and Albert Sheppard; his parents-in-law, Philip and Eileen Gilley; and his sister-in-law Vera Simms (Lloyd).
A funeral service was held on Wednesday, January 7th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Parsons Funeral Home and Chapel (63 Main St N, Deer Lake, NL A8A1X1).
Donations in his memory can be given to the Heart and Stoke foundation.
