It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Minnie Eleanor (Deering) Clarke of Deer Lake, Newfoundland, who passed away on May 10, 2026, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, William Deering and Jane Deering (Tuttle); her brother-in-law Don Earle; and her sister Doris Earle. She is survived by: her children, Elizabeth Penney (Wally), Debbie Collins (Shawn), Connie Clarke (Todd Macwhirter) and David Clarke (Tracey); her grandchildren, Carrie, Malcolm, Jason, Justin, Matthew, Tara-Lee, Jordan, Kelsey, Kenny and Nikkita; her brother David Deering (late Sharon Deering); her husband David George Clarke; and her brother Ches Deering. She is also survived by great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, May 13th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Parson's Funeral Home (63 Main St N, Deer Lake, NL A8A). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 14th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Anglican Church (18 Farm Rd, Deer Lake, NL A8A1E3).
In lieu of flowers, donations in Minnie's memory may be made to St. Michael's Anglican Parish in Deer Lake, NL, a church that was very close to our mother's heart.
