She was predeceased by: her husband Hector (Tate); her parents, Linda Taylor and Chesley Taylor; her in-laws, Ellen and Wilson Wight; her siblings-in-law, Jane Taylor, Rosie Wight, Gorden, Roy, Norman Wight, Walter Simms and Norman White; and her nephew David Taylor.
She is survived by: her grandchildren, Peter, Tate Jr. (Ailish), Lexie (Jeff Specker) and Marilyn (Ken Kennedy); her great grandchildren, Anna Wight, Lily Wight, Fiona Wight, Bianca (Cameron Alkins), Jeffrey Specker (Samantha), Janessa (Trevor Wood), Jana (Ryan Spurrell), Lexie (Jonathan McKenzie), Janice Parsons and Candace (Colin Matthews); her siblings, Tate Wood, Rowan Spurrell, Maya Spurrell, Avery McKenzie, Max McKenzie, Evie Leishman, Finley Leishman, Sam Matthews and Isaac Matthews; her sisters-in-law, Winona White and Hazel (James Bingle); Eva Wight.
Visitation was held on Saturday, May 23rd 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Parsons Funeral Home (63 Main St N, Deer Lake, NL A8A1X1). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, May 23rd 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers donations to the Children's Wish Foundation in Rowena's memory would be gratefully appreciated.
