It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Sean Charles Pennell of Deer Lake, Newfoundland, who passed away on October 9, 2025, at the age of 65, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Stanley Pennell and Margaret Pennell; his siblings, Alvina Pinsent, Gordon Pennell and Eric Pennell; and his siblings-in-law, Verna Pennell, Regina Pennell (Doll), Jean-Guy Goyer and Lloyd Cullihall.
He is survived by: his siblings, Linda Pennell, Louise Goyer, Ollie Cullihall, Joan Dawson (Tony), Larry Pennell and Max Pennell (Irene); his siblings-in-law, Sylvia Pennell and David Pinsent; and his caregivers, Amy and Jamie. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 12th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Fillatre's Funeral Home (10 Clinic Dr, Deer Lake, NL A8A1E3). A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 13th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church (21 Upper Nicholsville Rd, Deer Lake, NL A8A2E8).
Flowers will be graciously accepted, or a donation can be made to the Deer Lake Vera Perlin Association.
