He was predeceased by: his parents, Stanley Pennell and Margaret Pennell; his siblings, Alvina Pinsent, Gordon Pennell and Eric Pennell; and his siblings-in-law, Verna Pennell, Regina Pennell (Doll), Jean-Guy Goyer and Lloyd Cullihall.

He is survived by: his siblings, Linda Pennell, Louise Goyer, Ollie Cullihall, Joan Dawson (Tony), Larry Pennell and Max Pennell (Irene); his siblings-in-law, Sylvia Pennell and David Pinsent; and his caregivers, Amy and Jamie. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
