It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Leona Hutchings (Dunville, Newfoundland), born in Bell Island, Newfoundland, who passed away on September 12, 2022, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Walter Bickford and Beatrice Bickford; her boyfriend Mike Ennis; her sons, William, Randy and Ross; her granddaughter Chelsea Legge; her brothers, Doug and Tom; and her friends, Ed, Loretta Pomroy and Stan McFatridge.

She is survived by : her children, Karen, Greg and Russell; her grandchildren, Alannah (Connor), David (Kelsey), Eric, Melissa and Tyrin; her daughters-in-law, Lucy and Barbara; her goddaughter Wendy McFatridge; and her close friends, Donna, Jerome Lambe, Maureen Murphy, Lorraine, Ferg Manning, Winnie McFatridge, Tom, Kathleen Maher, Debbie and Lee Slade. She is also survived by her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

As an expression of sympathy flowers will be gratefully accepted or donations can be made in her memory to the Placentia Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary or the Alzheimer's Society of Newfoundland and Labrador.
