He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Byrd and John R. Byrd; his brother Robert Byrd Jr.; his siblings-in-law, Violet Byrd and Gordon Evans; and his parents-in-law, Michael and Sarah Pardy.
He is survived by: his wife Loretta; his children, Peggy Wells (Jonathan) of Elkford, BC, Michael Byrd (Stephanie) of St. John's, Mark Byrd (Tammy) of Terrenceville and Mason Byrd (Tiffany) of Elkford, BC; his grandchildren, Brianna, Alexander, Ryder, Kataya, Noah, Jackson, Karla and Toby; and his siblings, Dorothy Evans, Daphne Hynes (Andrew), Calvin Byrd (Diane) and Stanley Byrd.
