He was predeceased by: his parents, Jane and Bernard; his parents-in-law, Samuel and Emily Randell; his son Wade; his brothers, Jack (Cynthia) and Gerard (Irene); his brother-in-law Peter Ballett; and his sisters, Elizabeth (Michael Dempsey), Mary Tobin and Theresa Noftall (Stanley).

He is survived by: his wife Shirley; his children, Georgina (Tom Walsh), David (Darlene), Shawn (Lisa), Joyce (Dave Canning), Plemon (Tracy) and Norman (Bernadette); his daughter-in-law Debbie; his siblings, Elias and Susan Ballett; and his grandchildren, William, Emily, Douglas, Bruce, Reva, Natasha, Dillon, Brittany, Kyle, Justin, Travis, Kristen, Cody, Alex, Mitchell, Christopher, Brad and Nicole. He is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, and friends.
