He was predeceased by: his parents, William Tobin and Mary Bridget Tobin; and his siblings, Mary Ester, Josephine Tobin, Jean Shea and Gerard Tobin.

He is survived by: his siblings, Harold Tobin (Lucy) of Fleur, Pat Tobin (Lucy) of Fleur, Fred Tobin (Bessie) of Port Hardy, BC, Jerry Tobin (Julie) of Tumbler Ridge, BC and Len Tobin (Karen) of Port Hardy, BC; his brother-in-law Billy Shea; and his uncles, Jack Tobin (Nancy Lewis), Terri-Lynn Barrett (Rose), Billie-Joe Hodder and George Shea.
