He was predeceased by: his wife Bernice Ashford; his parents, James Ashford and Mary Ashford; his parents-in-law, Archibald and Winnifred Mullins; his sisters, Barbara Cumben and Betty Thorne; and his sister-in-law Maxine Ashford.

He is survived by: his siblings, Charles Ashford, Donald Ashford, Ronald Ashford, Cecilia Power, Anita Fortune, Louise Lee (Bill) and Bernadette Ashford; and his brothers-in-law, George Cumben and Bob Thorne. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
