It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carl Crews of Fortune, Newfoundland, who passed away on September 11, 2021, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his children, Maxine and Claude; his grandsons, Tristan and Alex; his parents, Harry Crews and Daisy Crews; his siblings, Alma, Emily, Walter and Nathan; and his parents-in-law, Claude and Susie Dunne.
He is survived by : his wife Jane; his children-in-law, Charles Ashford of Ontario and Marylou Crews of Mount Pearl; his grandchildren, Krysta (Robert) of Ontario and Morgan (McKaylia) of Mount Pearl; his siblings, Harry (Vera), Aubrey (Emily), Gerald (Daisy), Max (Gloria), Ida, Marina and Joan (John); and his siblings-in-law, Jim Dunne (Audrey), Claude Dunne (Linda), David (Darlene), Minnie Monster (Charles), Kay Mavin (Philip) and Helen Rolls (Gerald).
Visitation was held on Sunday, September 12th 2021 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM, on Monday, September 13th 2021 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the All Saints Anglican Chapel. A funeral service was held on Tuesday, September 14th 2021 at 2:00 PM at the All Saints Anglican Church. A burial was held on Tuesday, September 14th 2021 at the All Saints Anglican Cemetery (Cemetery Rd, Fortune, NL A0E, Canada A0E, Canada). In keeping with the current Covid-19 regulations this will be a walk through visitation with a maximum of 30 people permitted inside the building at one time.
In Carl's memory donations may be made to All Saints Anglican Church or a charity of one's choice or flowers gratefully accepted.
