He was predeceased by: his wife Anne (Melloy); his parents, Gertrude Bond and Frank Bond; his siblings, Emma, Vida, Ernestine, Benny and Cecil; and his brother-in-law Bob.

He is survived by: his sister Ester Whelan; and his pet Lucky. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family from afar, and his special companion.
