He was predeceased by: his parents, Louise Slaney and Michael Slaney; and his grandparents, Matilda, Aloysius Slaney, Felix and Caroline Lockyer.
He is survived by: his children, Nathan Beck (Jenny) of Marystown, Andrew Slaney (Kira) of St. John's and Chloe Slaney of St. Lawrence; his granddaughter Aurora Beck; his brothers, Aloysius (Darlene), Wade (Tracey) of St. Lawrence, Scott (Tammy) of St. Lawrence, Brad (Alex) of St. John's and Chris (Jennifer) of St. Lawrence; his aunts, Elsie Cousins of Meaford, ON and Rose King of Point; and his uncle TJ Slaney of St. Lawrence.
